I created the Kate Cavanaugh pen name six years ago with the hopes of pursuing traditional publication. While that’s still my main goal, I figured I’d pick up some side quests along the way!
An especially fun project was taking part in the horror anthology WE’RE NOT HOME with my short story In Front of Your House. (Fun hint: you can actually read ALL of my story within Amazon’s sample! Though I definitely recommend picking up your own copy. All profits go to charity!)
And thank you to Michael for reviewing and calling In Front of Your House a “standout”!

Other work I’ve shared can be found here on my website! I co-created a story, The Elbow Brush Bake-Off, with the incredible Ara from Bentley House Minis, about a baking competition show that goes magically awry. We documented our process of both writing the story (me) and building the stage miniature (Ara) and you can see the whole process and read the completed short right here.
Another short story, a little less polished, can be found on my “1 Week of Trying to Write Like Ray Bradbury” blog entry. It’s still one of my favorites.
